Arlington National Cemetery, in Arlington, Virginia, is an American military cemetery established during the American Civil War.  It is on the grounds of the Arlington House, formerly the family estate of Robert E. Lee's wife, Mary Anna Custis, who is a decendant of Martha Washington.  The cemetery is directly accross the Potomac River.  Veterans from all the nation's wars are buried in the cemetery.
